Agency Awards

Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters (YBBBS) has provided mentoring services since 1976 to more than 12,000 youth ages 6 to 24 throughout Yavapai County, Arizona.

In 2009 YBBBS served 971 youth in one-to-one mentoring relationships, putting the agency in the top 1% nationally for the number of youth matched per capita. Over the years, YBBBS has received numerous awards in recognition of performance that consistently exceeds Best Practices and Standards in the field of mentoring youth.

The 2021 National BBBSA Quality Award

The 2018 business.org Top Charity in Arizona.

The 2016 Agency Quality Award from National Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. This honor acknowledges the continued commitment of YBBBS to make and support quality matches reflective in the number of children served, their volunteer retention rate, community support provided and fundraising achieved to support their mission.

The 2009 Quality Award, given to only six agencies throughout the United States in recognition of the highest level of program quality measured by average match length, both six and 12 month retention rates and match support.

The 2009 Gold Standard Award for exceeding goals set by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America for increasing the number of children served, increased revenue growth, and decreasing match closure rates. Only two Big Brothers Big Sisters Agencies in the country received both awards.
