Child of the Week: Brady

Brady-webA sad reality exists within our close-knit Yavapai County community. Children are facing unfair life struggles every day. Big Brothers are in very high demand due to more and more boys facing adversity at an early age.

Meet Brady, a 12 year old boy who has two pet rats, and loves reading the Harry Potter novels. Brady is a great kid, who needs a Big Brother to help get him out of the house, and take his mind off of everyday hardships mixed with the unfortunate recent passing of a loved one. Brady enjoys going to hip-hop dance classes, attending his church’s youth group, and building forts with his friends.

At school, Brady gets very good grades and enjoys learning. While studying Greek mythology in class, Brady found a high interest in the matter. Along with learning, Brady also enjoys competitive wrestling, being outdoors, and going hiking.

Being a Big Brother, Big Couple, or Big Family, and mentoring a young boy is as simple as giving 8 hours a month. That 8 hours a month can ultimately shape a boy in need into a successful and caring man, making an impact Fundamentally. For the Better. Forever. The results have proven to be powerful in changing the lives of thousands of children in the past, but the children of the future have yet to experience these positive results.
