Family of the Month: The Luptowski Family

Nathan-Fisher-&-Luptowski-webThe Luptowski family has a strong desire to help others. The parents, Jamie and Christine, believe it is valuable for their boys to experience volunteering at a young age, and they are always looking for ways to help the community. Their desire for helping others and sharing that experience with their boys transpired into becoming a Big Family through YBBBS. Their little, Nathan age 8, experienced heavy trauma as a child and needed support from numerous role models. Ultimately, the Littles needs and the Family’s wants molded this awesome relationship.

The Luptowskis do everything as a family, and especially love the outdoors. They frequently share this love with Nathan. They take Nathan camping, hiking, fishing, and 4-wheeling. They also go Bowling and build forts with their Little. Since being matched with the Luptowskis, Nathan has become a part of their positive family interaction. This is something he didn’t receive prior to his match. Jamie and Christine’s boys are very involved in this match as well. They both have said, “We are happy to have Nathan to hang out and play with.” The boys, ages 10 and 11, have been very welcoming to Nathan, and treat him like a part of family.

The best Bigs bring their Littles into their everyday lives. All it takes is 8 hours a month to show a child a better world.
