Child of the Week: Nathaniel

Nathaneil-imgChildren right here in the Quad City area need you. Over 100 children are waiting to be matched with a community mentor. These children face various forms of adversity, but Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters helps by matching each child with a caring adult. Can you volunteer eight hours per month to give a child a better life?

Meet Nathaniel a typical teenager who lives with his grandparents and younger brother. Nathaniel has good relationships with his family and friends. He makes good grades, but would like to do better in school. Nathaniel has aspirations to attend college at the University of Arizona. Nathaniel’s grandmother states Nathaniel is good with people and a natural leader.

Nathaniel enjoys playing football. He states making his school team is one of the best things to happen to him. He would like to play for the Wildcats in college and then as a professional. Nathaniel enjoys being outdoors rather than indoors, but does enjoy movies and being able to have a conversation with someone. He needs a Big Brother who is patient and will help him attain his dreams.

If you are ready to step up and mentor Nathaniel or another waiting Little, join our elite and impactful group of Bigs. Contact YBBBS at 778-5135 or ‘Like”us on Facebook for more information.
