Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters works to provide mentors to area youth facing adversity. Children need to be surrounded by adults who encourage self-discovery, model healthy behaviors, and encourage and inspire kids to become confident adults.
Meet Anna, a talkative and creative 13 year old girl. Anna currently lives with her mother and older brother. Anna needs a patient Big Sister who will encourage her to try new things, but also enjoy her current interests. Anna describes herself as curious and adventurous.
Anna does well in school. She states English is her favorite subject. Anna does not know what she would like to do as a career, but has a goal to graduate high school. Anna enjoys knitting and drawing. She is also involved in fencing and would love to teach her future Big Sister.
