Brayden2A positive role model can truly make the biggest difference in a child’s life. You can help eliminate the stress and difficulties in a child’s life by simply offering your friendship.

Brayden is a 7-year-old 1st grader who is independent, intelligent, strong willed, and has a major need for a Big Brother. Brayden lives with his single mother. He does have extended family, but time with them is limited.

Brayden admits that he loves video games. He is interested in learning how to play baseball and soccer. Brayden is also interested in learning to play the drums and guitar, as well as cook. Although Brayden states he is an “indoor” boy, he is very interested in doing activities outside. He just needs a Big Brother to take the time to show him how to participate in different activities.

Brayden states he does not like school. His mom reports that he is reading two grade levels higher and score very well on math tests. Brayden gets bored at school, but has good relationships with his teachers. He would like to be a scientist or super hero when he grows up. Brayden needs a patient Big Brother who will encourage him academically as well help him with social interactions.
