Child of the Week: Eviana

Evianna-Lopez-webBehind a child’s smile lies the potential to make a difference. Your friendship can lead a child to a lifetime of greater possibilities.

Meet Eviana, an affectionate 9 year old girl whose interests range from doing makeup to helping her Uncle work on cars. Eviana does not have contact with her father, but she maintains an optimistic attitude despite the obstacles she has faced in her life. An upcoming 4th grader with an artistic outlook on life, Eviana enjoys hiking, kayaking, singing, swimming, and tennis.

Eviana is extremely compassionate, and just needs someone to spend quality time with and let her know she is important. She loves helping others, and would like to become a teacher when she grows up. Like many children her age, Eviana’s favorite subject in school is Physical Education, but she does not shy away from the arts or sciences.

There is an ongoing need for Bigs, but statistics prove that Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters is one of the most successful youth serving agencies in the nation. Behind these statistics lies a greater truth, thousands of children over the years who have been inspired from having positive mentors in their lives.
