How Being a Big Works
There are Many Ways to Be a "Big" .... All it takes is one to Start Something!
Traditional Match
Individuals are matched with a Little he/she can include in everyday activities and in the community. We ask that you see your Little just a few hours a couple of times a month.
Be Matched as a Couple or Family
This is like the Traditional Match, except the whole family is involved! As long as you have an extra seatbelt in the car, all you're doing is including a child in your family's activities, talks and outings.
Bigs in School
This is perfect for those who want their primary contact with their Little to be in school! School Bigs visit their Littles at school one hour a week, as well as spend time with them outside the classroom. You can do homework, eat lunch or talk together!
Seniors
Are often our best Bigs! Kids often need the wisdom and knowledge that Bigs over 50 can bring! Senior Men are especially important, because we have so many boys waiting.
VIP-Volunteers in Prevention
This program is designed to match children referred by the Juvenile court as soon as possible. The Arizona Supreme Court sponsors this program, in order to prevent the youth's further involvement with the law.
Faith Based Mentoring
People of faith can be the answer for a child in our program. This is a great opportunity to do something with your congregation, to live your faith, and to make a difference in the life of a child!
