In 2009 Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters served 971 youth in one-to-one mentoring relationships, putting our agency in the top 1% nationally for the number of children matched per capita. Over the years, Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters has received numerous awards in recognition of performance that consistently exceeds Best Practices and Standards in the field of mentoring children.
Most recent awards from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America include:
- The 2009 Quality Award, given to only six agencies throughout the United States in recognition of the highest level of program quality measured by average match length, both 6 and 12 month retention rates and match support.
- The 2009 Gold Standard Award for exceeding goals set by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America for increasing the number of children served, increased revenue growth, and decreasing match closure rates.
- Only 2 Big Brothers Big Sisters Agencies in the country received both awards.
